IUBMB Life
Basic Information
IUBMB Life is the flagship journal of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and is devoted to the rapid publication of research and review articles in the broadly defined fields of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Structural Biology and Molecular Medicine. The journal publishes interdisciplinary, basic to translational research and covers all fields in life sciences at every level of organization. Specifically, it considers research articles that provide major new mechanistic and functional insights in the mentioned areas. Purely descriptive and/or confirmative studies are not considered. Reviews and mini-reviews shall be concise and sharply focused on current hot topics in biological sciences. Review articles are welcomed from authors who have a documented experience and a strong publication record in the given field. In all cases authors should quote in the cover letter the novelty of their data and how they are linked to previously published work. The journal also publishes Special Issues in emerging topics of the above mentioned fields. Special Issues may include all types of articles following peer review. Proposals should be sent directly to the Editor-in-Chief.
