Journal of Sandwich Structures & Materials
Basic Information
The Journal of Sandwich Structures and Materials (JSSM) is an international peer reviewed journal that provides a means of communication to fellow engineers and scientists by providing an archival record of developments in the science, technology, and professional practices of sandwich construction throughout the world. Analytical and numerical work should be experimentally validated or at least compared to published experimental data. Experimental work should be supported by modeling (numerical, analytical) to generate new knowledge from the results presented. Papers which are merely illustrations of established principles or procedures, even though possibly containing new results, will generally not be published. Types of paper: Original papers and review papers on all aspects of fundamental and applied science of engineering sandwich structures will be considered for publication. The journal currently does not publish letters or short communications. Submissions of manuscripts in multiple parts are discouraged. Submissions must be accompanied by a letter stating: 1) the significance of the paper for the research community, and 2) highlighting the most important, original contribution. Some level of self-citation may be expected, but only if relevant for the work submitted. The manuscripts are expected to be written in proper English.
